This replacement armature is the center component of an electric motor which essentially converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. Due to constant contact with carbon brushes armature will eventually wear out and would need to be replaced. This item includes an armature, fan, armature bearing and commutator end bearing. It is highly recommended to replace both carbon brushes when replacing an armature.
